Appraisal Review Board Seeks New Members

Appraisal Review Board Seeks New Members

Candidates are currently being sought to serve on the Appraisal Review Board (ARB). The ARB is a group of citizens, made up of San Patricio County residents, that resolve disputes between taxpayers and the appraisal district. As a member of the ARB, you will listen to testimony and review evidence by both the taxpayers and appraisal district personnel.

The ARB members are appointed by the San Patricio County administrative district judge for two-year terms. ARB members are not employees of the Appraisal District and are not eligible for employee benefits for their review board service. ARB members are paid a per diem of $200.00 per day.

ARB members must be available for hearings during the peak protest season (May through September). You may be required to work full days (8:00 am-5:00 pm) every Monday-Friday or until hearings are complete. Regular meetings, as well as supplemental hearings, will be held monthly during the remainder of the year. Full-time commitments are required from May through September.

If you are interested in serving as an Appraisal Review Board member, please complete the Questionnaire and Application; be sure to include a current resume. Submit your documents to sanpatpublic@sanpatcad.org.

Your interest in this important civic duty is appreciated. If you have any question, please call 361-364-5402.
